HEALING

Healing is a journey that we need to take for ourselves.

Healing is a steady process. It is a journey that we need to take for ourselves and work our way to reach our higher self. And it is true that mental, emotional, psychological healing requires a lot more effort from the self than any external help. For no amount of counselling or medication or even meditation can heal one if the required effort from the self isn’t put to action. In this what is of foremost importance is –

1. What you store in your emotional memory. Because the kind of emotions that you keep reliving time and again, determines when you’ll heal. Emotions that revolve around acceptance, humility, peace and surrender…expedite healing.

2. When you learn to say “no” to people who have never valued your goodness, you stand up for yourself where it is required. And such a stance empowers you like nothing else.

3. You heal when you don’t rely on others to complete you. When you love yourself more and honour your own valuable presence. When you begin to enjoy this presence, you heal.

4. You heal when you realize that the pain within must be seen as what it is, and not as something you must relive time and again. When you become an observer to your own pain, you heal.

5. You heal when you stop giving more energy and power to your pain. Something that can be done by not thinking and talking about it or about what caused the pain. For the more you keep this pain alive in your thoughts and conversations, the more time you’ll take to heal.
