You don’t suffer when you let go. You suffer when you hold on too tightly.
When you let go, you achieve freedom and peace. You achieve a sense inner lightness and spaciousness. You energy flows freely and stays bright and effective. When you let go, you create the place for new and positive things or people to enter your life. Your energy attracts them as you show the readiness to embrace something better. When you let go, you honour life and in return it empowers you, it lends you greater maturity and strength, greater power.
But when you hold on too tightly to anything, be it good or bad… you create attachment and you begin to feed on it. This makes you dependent and leaves you with no room for change and better things. It makes you insecure and fans your fears and your ego. It shackles you and holds you captive. It neither lets you be at peace nor allows you to grow. It also pushes people away from you because you begin to confuse them, stifle them and cause them extreme discomfort.
When you hold on too tightly, you disrupt the flow of life, you block your own path and attract more confusion and chaos in your life. When you hold on too tightly, you stagnate and remain trapped in the ordinary. Your energy becomes heavy and attracts something similar. When you hold on too tightly, you create karmic complexities that don’t leave you for long.
